Student project · Poster exhibition · 2012
In 2012, two of my student works were shown at the exhibition of the 2nd Moscow Poster Competition “A City Without an Artist”, dedicated to Moscow’s architectural heritage. The competition and exhibition were organised by the Moscow Union of Artists and took place from 22 to 29 March 2012 at the exhibition hall on Kuznetsky Most.
Works
“Nothing Sacred” — a visual statement about Moscow churches destroyed during the Soviet period. The repeated crosses form an almost dense urban structure while also becoming an image of loss.
“Each One Is Unique” — a contrast between standardised urban housing and a single historic architectural landmark, reflecting the value of individual architectural heritage within a uniform cityscape.
